UPDATE: Our friends have moved into a place. This place has an oven--small, but quite functional. STAY TUNED, PEOPLE. Things may be looking up for my lonely sweet tooth......
nahhhh actually i'm probably in luck! i've been working out tons and counting calories like a maniac, so i retract my sadness over sweetlessness :) couldn't be a better coincidence with bathing suit weather upon us!
Sometimes I don't think much has happened in my life until I'm asked to look backwards and think about it. Born in Pittsburgh, I'm from a fairly nuclear family... a twin and a younger brother, a mom and a dad. I spent my childhood extremely introverted, apparently saving up for a highly extroverted adulthood.
I've been an artist since I can remember, and now that's how I (attempt to) make my living, naturally, supplemented by quite a bit of money from the service industry, which I have officially sworn off.
Seven years in Pittsburgh preceded a brief stay in Chicago. After that, we moved to Ohio, where I grew up and went to college. I then opened a studio/exhibition space with friends. At that point I thought, 'I've never been anywhere. I think I'll move to New York', and that’s where I went to graduate school. Afterwards, I thought, 'Hey, I've never traveled. I think I'll move to Korea'. Why not?
I cook, create ridiculous pastries, make art, dabble in graphic design, drink wine, and am always good for a laugh. Join me on my first excursion abroad from the West to the East for a year of shenanigans.
You can't find sweets out there. Sounds like a problem.
